Goodyear but not Firestone
Paramount but not MGM
Catsup but not mustard…

Just wondering – I hate to see all of this valuable Lemuel space go to waste when there is SO MUCH MORE about this interesting individual to learn about…

Why ‘Greedy Maelstrom’?

Travels into several Remote Nations of the World by Captain Lemuel Gulliver ... London: Printed in the Year MDCCXXVI. Chapter I: The Author gives some account of himself and family. His first inducements to travel. He is shipwrecked, and swims for his life, gets safe on shore in the country of Lilliput, is made a prisoner, and carried up the country. (excerpts from Gullivers Travels by Johnathan Swift)

My blog takes its title and concept from a poem I wrote in August, 1999. For my pen name I take the first name of one of my favorite characters in English literature: Lemuel Gulliver.
